The Gay Marriage ArgumentsI love America and I pay taxes just like everyone else so, I believe people should be able to marry whoever they want. This is a country full of hypocrites; we took prayer out of schools, we to Christ of Christmas and made it Xmas. We took Resurrection Sunday and made it about an Easter Bunny. But now we are the Spiritual police on who should be able to marry who. Give it a break, Karl Rove’s mastermind behind the idea to use gay issues to motivate GOP voters. The question is why, well Karl Roves adoptive father was gay and he left him and his mother for a gay man. So, I guess it can be understood that he has a hatred deep inside for gay people. As he goes and act likes the morel police for America, it should also be noted that Karl Rove is not a believer. Yes, rumors have it that his is an atheist, yes the Christian folks have line up with an atheist. Christians please wake up; please understand that this is not about God but about votes and rallying a party to have a cause in the next election. I was upset a few weeks ago when I saw a bunch of preacher from Washington DC, standing on TV trying to block the city council from accepting gay marriages from other states. I never saw such a group of hypocrites in my life. What do you mean; well first half of the pastors up there are gay, bi or DownLow. The other half are cheating on their wives, divorced, or pimping their members. Yet, they want to stand as the moral police and tell everyone else how to live. Remember slavery and the fact that blacks could not marry and they used the same bible that you are swinging at gay to say you did not have a right to be married. Then I guess the bible changes so that black men could now marry black women but you could not marry out of your race. They used the same bible to say that women should bow at a man’s feet and that woman where less then equal to a man. Women should stay home be barefoot and pregnant and had no place in the business world. Now the attack is on gay people and people are using the bible to say marriage is between a man and women. With the hatred that has been release on the GLBT communities, crimes against members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community are on the rise, especially in the Midwest, according to the 2008 National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs Hate Violence report. Minnesota has seen an increase in hate crimes by 300 percent since 2006, according to Out-front Minnesota, a GLBT advocacy group that completed the Minnesota portion of the report. That figure is the second highest increase in the country, behind only Milwaukee. In Minnesota, there was an 81 percent increase in the number of incidents reported to law enforcement, according to the report. Despite this increase, only 18 percent of incidents are reported because of the fear of post GLBT men and women who are living in the closet being found out. Look, if you disagree then so be it, but let people love who they want to love. Is it really hurting you? The question is what are you afraid of? Shouldn’t all people be able to spend the rest of their lives with whoever they want to? Shouldn’t all people be able to make medical decisions for the person they love? Shouldn’t all people be able to make burial arrangements for the one they love? Hmmm, maybe these rights only belong to heterosexual love, after all most of their marriages end in divorce. Mother D
